Puppet Show

We had this make your own Christmas puppets from ELC in the cupboard for a couple of years, we just kept forgetting to make it. We finally got around to making it and it was fabulous.

The set contained everything we needed to make one Santa and one Rudolph puppet. After me showing them Noah got the hang of it quite well, Tommy obviously needed a lot of help though. I threaded the wool through the needle, placed everything in place and then showed them each whole they had to go through.

Once everything had been bound together by the wool, a few bits like noses and eyes needed to be stuck on. Luckily they were self-adhesive, so we only had to peel the backing off and press down!IMG_20181126_185009_837

This was Noah’s first real experience with hand puppets, and boy was he fascinated. He played with them so much that we made puppet theatre out of an old wipes box.

It has provided them both with hours of fun and Noah has given nearly every visitor since their own show!

Yet another successful Christmas craft for these dreary winter days.
