Books

We tried out Giraffe is left out from the Behaviour Matters series. There’s many books in this series deisgned to tackle different emotions in early years and promote good behaviour. It’s also suitable for KS1 children and is reading band 6: Orange. We thoroughly enjoyed this book and on each page we stopped and spoke about what we had read. It prompted Noah to say things like ‘being nice and not snatching.’ and ‘being friends and be happy.’ I asked Noah what made him happy and he said ‘being best friends’, I asked Noah what made him sad and he said ‘being naughty.’ Tommy is too young to engage in a conversation about the story but he really enjoyed listening to it, and he stayed interested throughout and interacted with the pictures. We will definitely be buying more!  We teamed it with our lonely Giraffe from the Lanka Kade collection, which we also love and will be buying more of.
